Join our team

Bonfire Healing is a collective of trauma healing providers with the mission to promote health equity through increasing access to evidence-based trauma treatment for clients who utilize insurance benefits so that this care is both effective and accessible. Cost is one of the biggest barriers to mental health care, particularly in marginalized groups, and there is a growing gap between clinicians trained in evidenced based trauma treatment modalities and those able to offer affordable care.  Our practice is insurance based to help fill this gap while providing needed support to clinicians in this field.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated trauma therapists to provide evidenced based outpatient, telehealth treatments to clients in WA state with recent, current, and/or history of trauma, including complex developmental trauma.   As a collective, we are aware that clinicians have different employment needs and offer both W2 employment positions in our practice and contracting options for clinicians in their own private practice.  This aligns with our goal to provide a collaborative professional environment to support both clinicians focusing on trauma work  and the clients we serve.

Both positions offer clinician flexibility, you choose your own schedule and clients. To obtain a full time caseload, you may need to offer evening and/or weekend hours, but that is up to you.   Either way, this is private practice, we cannot guarantee any set client hours and clinicians do their own marketing, advertising, and client management. We succeed if you succeed and vice versa so we offer guidance and consultation around marketing and client management.  The company also pays for advertising and if you’d like will put your bio on our website and send you referrals from this.

Both positions offers our admin team that handles credentialing, billing, and insurance checks. For clinicians in W2 positions, admin handles all client discussions around billing and costs. For clinicians in their own practice (contracting), admin does not interface with your clients, but will share billing and copay information with the clinician.

The main differences in W2 vs contracting is how your insurance payouts are paid out to you.  The contracting is a set monthly fee for billing, supervision, EHR, and consultation and is set up a la carte so you choose what works for you. Clinicians handle their own business set up and operating costs and 100% of payouts go to the clinician.  *Billing Medicaid in the contracting role, requires independent licensure.

The W2 position is set up for clinicians who want the business infrastructure, tax benefits, and inclusive framework with covered supervision, PTO, and benefits. This is not set up to make passive income for our business but to help clinicians manage the business and tax complexities that have historically blocked them from entering private practice. *The W2 position requires that you reside in Washington state.
